Conte: Hazard's best yet to come at Chelsea

Eden Hazard is putting contract talks with Chelsea on hold as he hopes to attract an offer from Real Madrid, according to reports.

He told the Blues' website: "I have to say that is a great goalkeeper who saved two great chances".

"But I don’t think that Eden is at the peak of his career yet".

Conte said: "The club knows very well the importance of these two players, I think these two players are very happy to play for this club".

The Belgian forward has reportedly been offered a £300,000-a-week deal, which would make him the highest paid player in Chelsea's history.

"You are at the top when you win the Ballon d'Or the first time, when you win the Champions League, when you win the World Cup".

"It is normal during the season to have the contact between the player - or the agent of the player - and the club". How will England stop him?

The Belgium international has long been linked with a move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, touted as a potential successor to Cristiano Ronaldo, who is set to turn 33 in February of next year.

The one consideration that the Times does get right is that if Hazard does sign a new five-year deal he will have essentially committed himself to Chelsea for the rest of his prime.

'Eden's a world-class player and he's in top form, ' said Moses.

Antonio Conte has changed the way he's using Hazard this season - often preferring him in a more central role, as opposed to having him on the wing. 'He was doing some amazing stuff on the pitch, stuff to make you think 'wow', even the cheeky little penalty. When we were winning, we knew a bad moment could come because it is a tough league and we just came up from the Championship. "That's going to be hard work".
